MUSLIM SISTERS SWIMMING
MSA is proud to present the Muslim sister's swimming activity organized in collaboration with MSA-UBC. The privacy of sisters is guaranteed so come join us in this fun activity.
It is critical to have enough sisters participating to sustain this activity.
Location: Lord Byng Pool, Facilities include a fitness centre, sauna, whirlpool, and indoor pool.

Fees: Adult: $40 /month
Children : $12/month
Adult Drop in : $12/session
There will be two female lifeguards, one of them provides some basic swimming instructions.
The pool depth varies between 3 ft to 10ft. So you should be cautious when you are in the pool specially with the children.

ADMISSION POLICY
Children that are not potty trained, and boys over 5 years are not allowed. Children under 8 years must always be accompanied by a guardian/supervisor while in the water. The guardian/supervisor must be older than 16 years and be within arm's length of the child and wearing swimming attire. Each guardian/supervisors can only take care of 5 children or less .
Appropriate attire is mandatory for adult and pubescent sisters while swimming and showering: There is a general agreement among scholars that a Muslim woman may uncover her hair, face, hands, neck, shoulders, legs from below her knees as well as feet in front of Muslim women. There are two schools of thought regarding how much should be covered in front of non-Muslim women. As there is no exact description of an Islamic swim-suit (maybe a mercy from Allah Subhanawho wa Ta-aala), we ask for your cooperation and patience so that we all enjoy this activity without crossing Allah's limits and without burdening each other.
